Brad has been coaching for 20+ years, starting as the Head Coach for his summer league team at age 15. He has coached on multiple teams ranging from summer league to an assistant coach for the Ohio State University Women's Team. He is currently coaching for Level 4 with New Albany where he is in his second year as head coach. Brad has trained swimmers to numerous AA and ZONE cuts along with a handful of National Junior qualifiers. Brad's swimming experience started with summer league, AAU Swimming (Now USA-Swimming....for those old ones out there that remember) and finally with the Ohio State University Men's Team. Brad's claim to fame is holding the World Record in the 50 free in 1982 for approximately one minute. Ask him about it!! This is Brad's second appearance as a coach for TEAM OHIO.

Dave Shumaker started swimming in the mid sixties at the summer league and high school level.  He later entered Ohio State University where swam and became a manager under the late John Bruce.  Dave majored in Physical Education while at OSU.  During college, he coached summer league for 3 years.  Dave also worked for the American Red Cross Safety Programs Department while in college.  In the 1980's and early 1990's, Dave participated in Masters swimming.  Dave is currently a Level 3 coach with Greater Columbus Swim Team of Ohio, where he has coached for the last 9 years.  He has coached for the Ohio Quad Team 3 times.  Dave is married and has 3 children, 2 of which are swimming at GCSTO.

Julie Anderson is currently an assistant coach with New Albany Splash and the Natatorium Director at New Albany High School.  Julie has 8 years of combine coaching experience including as an Assistant Coach with Swim Atlanta, New Albany High School and as a Head Coach for summer league teams with Sycamore Hills SC and Winding Hollow Country Club.  Julie's swimming career began with GTAC and then with GLSC in the Toledo area.  She then swam for the Ohio State University then transferred sports and rowed for the Buckeyes.  This is Julie's second year to travel with Team Ohio. In Julie's rare spare time she enjoys water and snow skiing depending of the time of year.  She has had her pilots license for 11 years and enjoy traveling to new places and airports on her vacation time, Julie has flown a range of aircraft from the little two-seater Cessna 152 to the Gulfstream IV and has enjoyed simulator time in the Boeing 757.

Jason Roberts has been coaching for the Northern Ky Clippers for three years. In the three years the team size has nearly doubled.  In 2000 at Double A's Jason was voted Ohio Age Group Coach of the year, much to his surprise. In the three years that Jason has been coaching for the Clippers, he has coached numerous swimmers to top 16 qualifications and rankings. Jason is currently a student at Northern Kentucky University working on a degree in History. His claim to fame when he was growing up was when he was 11 years old he fell off the high diving board at the local YMCA and landed on the pool deck. In the fall he broke my back and have always been noted as the guy who closed the board forever; since he fell off the board and it has never reopened.

Jeremy is currently the Head Age Group & National Assistant Coach for the Anderson Barracudas/M.E. Lyons YMCA. He has coached and developed numerous Top-16, State Age Group Champions, Junior and Senior National Qualifiers, YMCA National Qualifiers, YMCA National Champions, and High School All Americans. Jeremy was recently named Southwest Cluster YMCA Long Course Coach of the Year (2001).  Jeremy graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1997, where he swam for 4 years.  He also met his lovely wife, Lisa, at UC.  They have been married for just over 2 years.

Brent has been coaching USA-Swimming for 11 years, 7 years with the Wright-Patterson Flying Fish (3 years Head Age Group) and the last 4 years with the Dayton Raiders. He has coached swimmers to Ohio records, National "Top 16" times, National Age Group Champions, National Junior qualifiers, and Central Zone record-holders. Brent has a lot of energy and enjoys coaching at all levels. Brent has also been the Head Coach at Fairborn High School since 1993 and was the Head Coach at Wayne Swim Club 1994-1999. Brent graduated with a B.S. in Human Factors Engineering at Wright State University and is employed by Veridian Engineering at Wright-Patterson AFB. When Brent has time, he enjoys fishing on the east and west coasts, as well as in the Gulf of Mexico. In 1999, Brent was the Ohio Team Head Coach, helping Team OHIO win its first ever Central Zone team title.
