Ohio families,
For those of you signing up for the USA Central Zone Championships in Noblesville (IN) on Aug 6-9, remember these key deadlines:
· Tue July 21st – call or fax in your Kastaway Swimwear equipment package order by 3PM (1 TYR suit, 4 shirts, 1 cap). Optional Zone items available.
· Wed July 22nd – sign up online and pay for Travel Team ($355) if applicable, sign up and pay for Open Water ($20) if applicable, sign up and pay for Zone pool events ($5 per event plus $37 coach fee) if applicable. All of these signups are performed on Swim Connection OME with a credit card. Read the PDF document titled “Instructions on How to enter online” and follow the steps.
· Wed July 22nd – postmark and send in your MEDICAL RELEASE, CODE OF CONDUCT and OHIO SOCIAL & DINNER tickets (Travel athletes/coaches do not pay for social tickets – non travel athletes, parents, and siblings need to purchase a ticket).
A few notes:
· The results from this weekend’s Ohio Junior Olympic meet have been loaded to Swim Connection and should appear in Swim Connection for you to use for Zones sometime in the next 24 hours.
· As of Sunday evening after JOs, 24 Ohio athletes have already entered the meet online. Only 2 small questions thus far on the entry process, so it appears most of you are finding the process to be fairly straightforward. If you get confused on any step, no need to worry -- just email me your questions and I’ll help your through any confusing steps.
· We have posted the previous emails on the Ohio Zone website for you to review if you have recently been added to the distribution
· After the deadline, we will post entry reports for you to review for accuracy
· After the deadline, coaches will setup A and B relays for each age group based on times from those who entered the meet
· We will have coaches bios posted soon. We currently have 5 of your Ohio coaches confirmed attending – at least one coach or chaperone will be at each of the four Ohio bus pickup locations for verifying rosters (Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo)
· Bus schedules will be posted by next week. All departure times will be in the AM on Thursday Aug 6th, and return times will be at night on Sunday Aug 9th.
