NOTES: Arcadia Lake is located about 10 minutes north of OKC in Edmond, OK. The open water event will take place at Arcadia Lake in the Spring Creek Park. Arcadia Lake is a 1820 acre man made lake constructed in 1987. Athletes will start on Spring Creek Beach and swim north. The open water course will be set up with buoys along a ˝ mile loop course. Athletes will follow the course based on their age group: 10&U ˝ mile, 11-12’s 1 mile, 13-14’s 1 ˝ mile, 15-18’s 2 miles. Warm-up for open water will occur within the specified beach swim area. Large parking and spectator area on the beach are available. Spectators may bring their own lawn chairs for seating. Other features include a concession stand, athlete hospitality, restrooms, and merchandise. Different colored swim caps will be issued to athletes in each age group so that Meet Management can monitor swimmers’ progress through the course. The course will be patrolled by qualified personnel. Athletes will be photographed upon registration and at completion of the course. Life guards will be placed in boats along the course for safety.

To qualify, swimmer must have achieved a National "A" time in the longest freestyle event offered at the Age Group Championship meet (swimmer does not have to swim that event in the pool competition, just need to have the cut since summer 2005)
