The Oakwood Dolphins Swim Team, a member of the Miami Valley Swimming Association (MVSA), is looking for a head coach and two assistant coaches for this summer’s team.  They have finished second at the MVSA Swimming Championship meet for the last three years and are looking for coaches who can assemble a program to make them champions.

The team is very large, numbering between 150-200 swimmers, most of whom are 12 years of age and younger.  There will be some unpaid volunteers who will help with stroke instruction and management of practices, however it is expected that the head and assistant coaches will organize practices to ensure optimal team performance.

Practice begins June 9, 2003 and run from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.  There are eight meets, four in Oakwood and four away meets across the area.  The season concludes with the MVSA Championships on July 26, 2003 and with a team picnic, awards ceremony and pool party the following day.

There is a well-organized group of swim team parents who will run each meet.  They will also assist you with getting to know each swimmer, preparing meet entries, parental interaction, and other administrative duties.
