Kristin Roach Year Joined Raiders: 1995 Swimming competitively since: 1993 High School: Centerville College: Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti (MI) College Major: Broadcasting Favorite Events: 100 Back, 200 Back (and if there was a 100 IM for 15-18....my all-time favorite event) Top Yard Times: 100 Back (1:02.83), 200 Back (2:11.41), 200 IM (2:15.58) Top Meter Times: 100 Back (1:10.76), 200 Back (2:30.91), 200 IM (2:32.79) High School Highlights: Co-Captain of the HS team, scholar athlete, 3-time district qualifier, Outstanding swimmer GWOC Extracurricular: peer-tutoring, Lunch Buddies When I'm not swimming, I like to: Sleep and be lazy! And of course hang out with my friends Favorite Food: grapefruit Favorite Movie: The Notebook (i cry everytime), Wedding Crashers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beauty and the Beast :-) First Song I would Load to an iPod: Dream On - Aerosmith Favorite Color: aqua Best Part About the Raiders: Definitely my friends and the coaches. Most of my best friends are the people I swim with and I wouldn't trade that for anything. We have such an amazing coaching staff on the team and we all are really lucky to be part of it. Tip for the Younger Raiders: Enjoy it while it lasts...its crazy how fast time will fly. I remember being at my first practice in Red group when I joined the team...and now I'm looking at colleges. Make some of your best friends on the team, they are the ones that will be there for you unconditionally. Trust the coaches and work with them. No matter how much they get on you they are always trying to help. And last but definitely not least, HAVE FUN and enjoy what you are doing. |
