Entry Deadline:
Entries must be
received via e-mail or snail mail to the Entry Chair on or before
Wednesday Jan 18, 2006 at 4PM. Teams may electronically update their
times by Monday Jan 23, 2006 at 4PM. (If you are e-mailing
entries, payment and any accompanying forms must arrive by Friday Jan 20,
2005) Early entry submission would be appreciated. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL
ENTRIES WITH SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION; THIS MAY RESULT IN ENTRIES BEING RECEIVED
PAST THE DUE DATE.
Entry Forms:
If using Hy-Tek
Team Manager software, please submit your team entry file via e-mail by the
deadline. Please send the “Team Summary” form and the signed “Team
Representative” form included with this meet packet. It is not necessary to
send a hardcopy of your team’s entries if you are sending your Hy-Tek entry file
by e-mail. However, the host entry chair may request a copy from your club if
there are errors or typos in your team’s entry file. Teams of 0-10 or more
swimmers that are not submitted in electronic format will be assessed no
processing fee; 11-20 swimmers a $20 fee; 21-30 swimmers a $30 fee, 31+ swimmers
a $40 fee.
Entry Limit:
Swimmers will be
limited to four (4) events per day plus relays. This meet will be limited to
the first 500 entries. The 11, 12, and OPEN 500 Free, and the 400 IM may be
limited based on entries received. Relays may be eliminated to keep the meet
within the maximum timeline. If the timeline allows for additional heats,
additional heats will be swum. If necessary the meet director reserves the
right to limit participation in other selected events in order to maintain
a meet of reasonable time duration. Also, events may be combined to ensure
the meet does not exceed the maximum allowable timeline. If this occurs,
scoring will be broken out so swimmers will receive awards for events in their
own age. Clubs may check with the entry chairperson on Fri Jan 20, 2006 to
determine if entries will be limited. If requested, fees will be refunded at
the meet if swimmers are not able to compete for this reason.
Website:
Please visit the
team website at
www.daytonraiders.com for meet information, psych sheets, final results, and
downloadable electronic files once the meet is concluded. The host entry chair
reserves the right to allow changes and/or updates to team entries after the
psych sheets are posed and before the heat sheet is sent for printing. After
the meet, results will be uploaded to the Ohio Swimming database (Swim
Connection) and the USA-Swimming National Times Database (SWIMS).
E-mail:
On the “Team
Summary” Form included in this packet, please include any and all e-mail
addresses you would like to use for communication. Once the deadline has passed
and your team’s entries have been processed, they will be posted to the website
and an e-mail will be sent indicating entries are available for you to review.
It may be possible to add entries or fix any typos prior to the heat sheet being
sent to the printers if a visiting club responds in a reasonable timeframe.
Entry changes may be allowed, but swimmers cannot be deleted after the deadline;
no-shows will not be refunded.
Rules:
The meet will be
conducted under the rules of United States Swimming (USS) and Ohio Swimming. All
participating swimmers, officials and coaches on deck must be members in good
standing of USS. No swimmer will be allowed to compete unless he/she is a member
of USS or can provide proof that he/she has submitted membership papers and
payment to USS. All officials and coaches must display 2006 USS membership
card while on deck. All workers on the deck must wear identification tags.
All persons wishing to photograph or videotape events from the deck must obtain
an identification tag from the meet director. Whistling is not permitted in
the natatorium.
New Starting and “No Recall” rules will be in effect for this meet: At the commencement of each heat, the Referee shall signal to the swimmers by a short series of whistles to remove all clothing except for swim wear. Followed by, a long whistle indicating that they should take their positions on the starting platform and remain there. In the backstroke and medley relay events, at the Referee’s first long whistle the swimmers shall immediately enter the water, and at the second long whistle shall place their hands and feet in preparation for the start. When the swimmers and officials are ready, the Referee shall signal with an outstretched arm to the starter that the swimmers are under the starter’s control. On the starters command ”take your mark” the swimmers shall immediately assume their starting position with at least one foot at the front of the block or, in the backstroke and medley relay events assume the backstroke starting position. When all swimmers are stationary, the starter shall give the starting signal.
Under the ”NO Recall“ starting procedure, any swimmer starting before the starting signal has been given, shall be disqualified. If the starting signal sounds before the disqualification is declared, the race shall continue and swimmer or swimmers shall be disqualified upon completion of the race. If the disqualification is declared before the starting signal, the signal shall not be given, but the remaining swimmers shall be called back, be reminded by the starter of the penalties, and start again.
