Age Group Championships Recap
Mar 11-13, 2005 - Cincinnati (OH)

Congratulations to our 43 brave age group swimmers who weathered staggering colds & viruses in February, grueling practice sessions, sugar-free diets, and fast competition from around the state to swim an outstanding Ohio Age Group Championship Meet this past weekend in Cincinnati.  Our young age groupers finished 2nd overall behind the Clippers of Northern KY and ahead of the Golden Bears of Upper Arlington.  The combined 10-under, 11-12, and 13-14 Raider boys finished first overall in Ohio and the combined scoring of the 13-14 boys and 13-14 girls finished first in Ohio for the second straight age group championship meet.

With the Raider finish at the Ohio SENIOR Championships on the previous weekend, the entire Raider organization was presented with the "2005 Ohio Combined Team Champions".  This award compiles the score at both meets (SENIORS and AGE GROUP CHAMPS) for the final tally.

Congratulations to the following Raiders who earned USA “Sectional” cuts, a time standard reserved for OPEN aged swimmers that qualifies them to the 4-chapter Sectional Championships (Ohio, Indiana, Lake Erie, and Michigan).  This is an extremely difficult time standard to achieve since the standard is geared for swimmers through age 19.
