Meet: Cincinnati Marlins TYR Sport Invite

Date: June 13-15, 2008
Location: Keating Natatorium, St. Xavier HS, Cincinnati, Ohio

Directions: From I-75 take exit 9 and go north on Paddock Rd. (Rt. 4) to North Bend Rd., (the first left turn after crossing under the railroad trestle).  Turn left and follow North Bend Rd. to the top of the hill (about 1-1/2 miles).  St. Xavier High School is on the right with Keating Natatorium behind the school.

Maximum Number of Events Per Day: Three (3) per day

Format: Prelim/Finals for all events except where notes in this section. (Top 14 swimmers swim finals). ll 8 & under events are swum as timed finals during the preliminary heats (no finals). Age Groups 13-14 and 15 & Over will compete together in prelims as 13 & Over but scored and awarded separately in finals. The 8 & Under and 9-10 age groups will compete together in prelims as a 10 & Under age group. The 9-10 age group will be scored and awarded separately in finals. 8 & Under age group will be scored and awarded as timed finals in prelims.EVENTS 400 Freestyle/IM & 1500 Freestyle: The 1500 will be limited to the fastest 35 seeded times for each gender, swimming fastest to slowest, alternating women and men. The 11-12 400 Free will be limited to the fastest 35 seeded times swimming fastest to slowest, alternating women and men, with the fastest seeded heat swimming in finals. The 13-14 400 Free and 400 IM will be limited to the fastest 35 seeded times and are prelim/final events. The top 14 in 13-14; and top 14 in 15& over will return for Finals. Positive check-in is required at clerk of course by 7:30 a.m. In prelims, the odd heats in all events will start at the balcony end of the pool. The even heats in all events will start at the scoreboard end of the pool. All 50’s will start at the scoreboard end of the pool. In the event of unexpected heavy entries, the Cincinnati Marlins reserve the right to limit all entries to the top 35 swimmers in events 200 and over and with possible positive check in. The Relays are timed Final events. All Relays will be swum in prelims. 
Awards: Medals - First through third place. Ribbons - Fourth through Seventh. Medals for first place relays, ribbons for second through seventh place. Team trophies for overall first, second and third place teams. Trophies for High Point Women & Men in each age group.
Entry Fees: $4.50 per event plus $2 surcharge for each athlete. relays are $7 each.

Deck Entries: Deck entries will be accepted only if the meet has not closed. Deck entries will close 1 hour before the meet starts. A deck entry fee of $8.00 per event ($10 per relay) plus $2.00 swimmer surcharges (if swimmer not already entered in meet) is payable upon sign-up at clerk of course.
